Paula Scher
Paula Scher, born on October 6th, 1948 in Virginia is an American graphic designer, illustrator, painter and art educator in design and the first female principal at Pentagram which she joined in 1991. She is the 16th recipient of the School of Visual Art's Masters Series Awards and an exhibition of her work can be seen at the Visual Arts Museum and School of Visual Arts which ties to her book Make it Bigger. Paula studied at the Tyler School of Art in Pennsylvania and earned a Bachelor of Fine Art in 1970. She moved to New York City and took her first job as a layout artist for Random House children's book division.

George Lois, born on June 26th, 1931, in Bronx, New York City is an American art director, designer and author. He is best known for the 92 covers he has designed for Esquire magazine from 1962 to 1972. In 2008 the Museum of Modern Art exhibited 32 of Lois' Esquire covers.

Stefan Sagmeister, born 1962 in Bregenz, Austria is New York-based graphic designer and typographer. He has his own design firm Sagmeister and Walsh Inc. in New York City. Stefan studied graphic design at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. He began his design career at the age of 15 at "Alphorn" an Austrian youth magazine.
